Draft for review — not final legal copy. The liability terms in particular need review by a qualified UK solicitor before publication.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a RewardsTick account, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

RewardsTick lets you discover and support charities, donate (by card or using loyalty points), book charity events and receive digital tickets, and collect and redeem loyalty points at participating stores.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Donations

Donations made through RewardsTick are final. Where you've opted into Gift Aid, you confirm you are a UK taxpayer and that the tax you pay in the relevant year is at least equal to the tax the charity will reclaim — it is your responsibility to pay any difference to HMRC if not.

5. Loyalty points

Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Points may be earned and redeemed only at participating stores/charities, and redemption terms may vary and are subject to change. We may correct points balances affected by technical errors.

6. Event bookings

Tickets booked through the app are shown as a QR code for entry. Refund and cancellation terms are set by the individual charity or organiser hosting the event, unless stated otherwise at time of booking.

7. Prohibited use

You agree not to misuse the app, including attempting to fraudulently earn or redeem points, interfering with the app's security, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Liability

8.1 Our role. RewardsTick is a technology platform for discovering charities, donating, booking events, and managing loyalty points. We are not a bank, e-money institution, or payment service provider. Card payments are processed by our third-party payment processing partner, who is separately regulated and responsible for processing your card payment. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have against that partner under their own terms or the Payment Services Regulations 2017.

8.2 What we don't exclude. Nothing here limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud; any breach of your statutory consumer rights (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015); or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.

8.3 General limitation. Subject to 8.2, we will not be liable for loss of profit, business, anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss.

8.4 Liability cap. Subject to 8.2, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) £100, or (b) the total amount you have paid to us (excluding amounts passed through to a charity or store) in that period.

8.5 Service availability. We aim to keep the app available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8.6 Your responsibilities. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the app, breach of these terms, or provision of false information (including in a Gift Aid declaration).

8.7 Force majeure. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or suspend/terminate accounts that breach them, with notice where reasonably possible.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
